Palm prints are definitely part of the best summer flings in fashion this season. I am always looking how I can incorporate the latest fashion trends into my own wardrobe while still making it my own. I was really drawn to this maxi dress because it is unlike typical prints this style. It deviates from the usual greens we see in palm prints, and brings out more of the vibrant blues. Because I am more of a fan of blue than green, I was excited to find a print I actually like. That’s something that I love about fashion. You can take something popular and make it your own based on your unique style!
This dress is from H&M and is actually a strapless maxi dress. I love to be able to wear it like that, but often I want a little more coverage on my shoulders. That’s why I opted to pair it with this denim vest. I also wanted it to add structure to the dress and avoid looking plain and simple.
Denim vests are a great closet staple because of their versatility. They can be worn with dresses, both long and short, skirts, shorts, leggings, jeans… you name it! I snagged my Maison Jules vest on sale at Macys for $13! If you are looking to add one to your wardrobe I’ve linked some similar vests you can take a peek at.
I look for any excuse to wear this Kate Spade crossbody bag. It makes an outfit pop with color and is so cute with the little bow detailing. The dress already has some of these brighter tones in the print and I loved how it brought out the colors even more.
These Merona sandals from Target are cute and simple. I love to go for simplicity when I want the rest of the outfit to shine. They come in many other colors for $16.99.
I couldn’t stay away from mint tones and added jewelry to complement the outfit colors. The necklace was a free gift from Ruby Claire Boutique. When you sign up for e-mail on their website, they willl add an awesome accessory (your choice) to your next order!
